Bike to the Library began in 2015 as part of the UW-Madison Global Health Institute‘s “Climate Change Policy and Public Health” Massive Open Online Course. It was conceived as part of a larger effort to engage libraries with this important climate information, beginning with “Changing Weather and Climate in the Great Lakes Region.”

Today this is more important than ever.

Many thanks for our sponsors in 2017, including the Saris Cycling Group, Planet Bike, and Bicycle Benefits.

Thank you also to our amazing Bike to the Library partners: the Wisconsin Bike Federation, the University of Wisconsin Global Health Institute, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies, and the South Central Library Delivery Service.

Special thanks to all the dedicated library workers bringing bicycling programs to their communities.

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.

Here’s to lots of library bikers this year and in the years ahead!
